Why Real Estate Provides Protection Against Inflation

Unlike any other asset type, and certainly unlike the US dollar, real estate tends to appreciate in value. Real estate actually tends to excel during economic trouble, as it is not based on the whims of the stock market. The natural course of real estate is to increase in value over time. While we don’t invest for appreciation alone, it is an important factor in protection against inflation.

The Source of Inflation

Inflation occurs as a result of the Federal Reserve policies. There are two factors that contribute to rising inflation.

1. The Fed sets the interest rate too low.
2. The Fed prints too much money too rapidly – this is what we are seeing now.

How to Shield Your Family From Inflation
