Tips for Exploring Asset Protection
Admittedly, I don’t recall what we have paid for setting up asset protections. However, you should know that it won’t be cheap! This can be a complicated process, and typically lawyers are not cheap. I would advise you to get a couple of consultations about proper legal structure.
One company I can recommend is York, Howell, & Guymon out of Utah. They specialize in both real estate protection and estate planning.
What Forced Appreciation Is
Forced appreciation is typically discussed more often in the commercial real estate space. In contrast to market appreciation, where the property appreciates naturally over time, forced appreciation is when an investor raises the value in the property. This can be done via making improvements to the property or raising rents.
How Population Decline Could Affect Real Estate Investing
While I think this is a good question, I think it’s fair to say that it’s not something we need to worry about anytime in the next decade or two. From an investing standpoint, we are still in a housing shortage. Remember that it can be easy to get caught up in the big “what-if’s” to talk yourself out of investing. At this time, there are no shortages in tenants.
