More About This Show
What does it mean to have a simple life? That’s up to you to decide. Having a 9-5 can be pretty simple: you have a set list of expectations/deliverables to meet on a weekly basis. You do those things, you get direct deposit. So while you’re building wealth for someone else’s company, you get to float by; there are no hard decisions for you to make.
Let’s put this scenario against being a real estate investor. I wouldn’t call it simple. There are challenges and big decisions as a business owner. You have to call the shots, tend to your portfolio, and make sure everything is running smoothly. You get out what you put in.
It might not be simple or easy, but it is freedom. You can wake up when you want, clock out when you want, go to your kids’ school events, attend business lunches, manage your own time instead of scheduling your life around your boss. BUT it’s not simple, and it’s not passive.
You will have vacancies, tax bills, phone calls, evictions, and other difficult decisions to make. It only succeeds when you work hard. So you need to ask yourself: do I want a simple life or a free life?
