Recently, I heard from an investor who had something holding him back from taking action. His wife was not into the idea of investing, and he thought she might be vindictive and jump at the chance to say, “I told you so!”

It’s vital to have support on your real estate journey, and obviously it’s important to be on the same page as your spouse when you’re making financial decisions. On this episode of Investing in Real Estate, I’m discussing the importance of positivity, and how to educate the “I told you so” people in your life.

More About This Show
We’ve already discussed ways to convince your spouse to invest in real estate, but a hesitant attitude is an entirely different beast than a negative attitude. We’ve all met those people: the ones who find the negative in any situation. Some people will always find ways to tell you that you’re wrong.

If you’re trying your hardest to get into real estate investing, that kind of personality will hold you back. Sometimes, you can make a point to educate a negative person. Maybe they just don’t know what to expect, and it’s their natural reaction to be defensive.

I’m certainly not recommending anyone file for divorce, but if you’re surrounded by people who are telling you that you can’t reach your goals, it will be difficult to succeed. Make a point to either distance yourself from naysayers, or to educate them. Above all, don’t be one of these people!

On today’s show, I’m discussing specific resources you can share in order to educate a cynic on the benefits of rental real estate. I’ll also discuss the importance of having support on your real estate journey. Join me for episode 105 of Investing in Real Estate!
