More About This Show
You might be surprised to hear that winter is my favorite time of year to renovate properties. There are a few reasons why: it’s easier to find homes, the prices are lower, and there’s not as much competition. At Morris Invest, winter is actually our busy season!
For starters, it’s easier to find contractors at lower prices. During the winter, contractors are looking for work. There’s more competition for indoor jobs, and contractors are willing to work at cheaper rates.
In terms of finding tenants, our property management teams often find that early in the year can be ideal. Many of our tenants use their tax returns not only for their security deposits, but also to pay their rent months in advance.
On today’s show, I’m elaborating in detail on why I love renovating properties in the winter. I’ll discuss the tax benefits, the price of materials, and the role of the Board of Health. If you’ve ever worried about purchasing a property in the winter, this is an episode you won’t want to miss!
