Investing In Real Estate Podcast

I can’t tell you how many times I have heard, “my financial advisor won’t work with me anymore if I pursue real estate investing,” or “my financial advisor warned me against investing in real estate.” But here’s the thing: your financial advisor is omitting the truth.

On today’s show, you’re going to learn why financial advisors lie about real estate investing. We’re going to talk about why the financial industry creates fear, a conversation on stocks vs. real estate investments, and the importance of transparency.

More About This Show

I’m not here to bash financial advisors, I am simply rebutting statements I have heard multiple times from clients. So what should you do? I’m not going to tell you to fire your financial advisor, and I am certainly not going to pretend to be one. However what I can do is explain why they might be trying to create fear.

Is it because if you invest in real estate you are protecting yourself and your future from volatility therefore eliminating the need for them to move your investments around into other stocks and charge you for that? Maybe they don’t want you to know that you can accelerate your returns.

Investing in real estate when looking at your IRR you have access to three streams of income. And let’s not forget about the tax benefits. Could it possibly be that they don’t want you to have control over your investments? Allowing you to have control jeopardizes the need for their guidance.

When you invest in real estate, you have the ability to choose the right path that suits your needs. And when you own a tangible asset, you’re not going to end up with $0 in your account.

Lastly, let’s talk about those fees—those hidden fees that pop up that drain your account. Transparency is something that should just be expected when it comes to planning for your future and the future of your family. Building your wealth should be straightforward, laid out clearly, no guess work. Clearly that isn’t going to happen with the stock market. So maybe having that discussion with your advisor, can they offer you protection from volatility, acceleration on returns, control over your investments and transparency?
