Jeremy is a filmmaker in Southern California, who has big goals and aspiration. He realized his dreams could not be funded by a regular paycheck or traditional 401k. He understood that real estate investing was the best vehicle for him to reach his financial goals and find true independence.

In his extensive research, Jeremy first became excited when he read Brandon Turner’s book, The Book on Rental Property Investing. He immediately began searching for a property to become the first in his portfolio. He began looking for properties in his own market

It didn’t take long for him to realize that investing in the Los Angeles area was an unprofitable investment. So when he heard about my method of investing on The BiggerPockets Podcast, his interest piqued.

He had some hesitations, and a list of questions about purchasing buy and hold properties from afar. We spoke in depth about what it takes to get started, the truth about the risks involved, and how buy and hold real estate could help Jeremy reach his goals more quickly.

Jeremy had his share fair of worries, but he explains that once he understood the process, he became more at ease. He purchased his first property in Indianapolis, as well as two additional investments. He and his wife have aspirations of acquiring at least fifteen properties.
